Sports Rehabilitation in Swarthmore & Bryn Mawr

For recreational and competitive runners, golfers, and fitness-minded adults: rebuild strength, return to your sport, and perform at your best.

Rehab designed around how you actually move.

Sports rehabilitation at Path to Movement is not standard physical therapy with a sports label. It is a performance-focused process that starts with sport-specific baseline testing, builds through progressive loading stages, and ends only when objective criteria confirm readiness, not when the calendar says so.

We work with athletes at every level: recreational weekend warriors, high school and collegiate competitors, adult league players, and professional athletes. The principles are the same. The protocols are individualized to your sport, position, training volume, and competitive schedule.

Baseline Testing

We begin with sport-specific movement screens and performance tests to establish where you are relative to where you need to be. This gives us clear, objective targets, not subjective feelings.

Progressive Loading

Treatment progresses through phases: restore range of motion, build foundational strength, develop sport-specific power and coordination, then reintroduce the actual demands of your sport.

Return Criteria

You return to full activity when you pass objective tests: limb symmetry, power output, movement quality, not just when a predetermined number of weeks has passed.

Back to full competition, with lower re-injury risk.

Athletes who complete a criteria-based return-to-sport program have significantly lower re-injury rates than those cleared by time alone.

Full Return to Sport

Return to practice, competition, and training at the same or higher level than before injury.

Confidence in Your Body

Objective data, not just how you feel, confirms your readiness and gives you real confidence to compete.

Improved Performance Benchmarks

Many athletes finish sports rehab stronger and more efficient than they were before injury.

Reduced Re-Injury Risk

Criteria-based clearance and prevention programming dramatically reduce the likelihood of re-injury in the same season.

What our patients say.

“As an ultra runner, Path to Movement helped me to better understand areas of my body that are inhibiting movement. As a result of my program I have better range of motion and mobility in several areas such as ankles, knees, hips and upper back. I’m confident with this program, I will remain injury free and maintain an active lifestyle for many many years to come!!”
